As the letter states, and we've discussed, we only have 23 spots available for this trip due to CSM's group size regulations. IN ORDER TO SECURE YOUR SPOT - you must turn in your completed registration form and a $65 deposit. YOU MAY TURN THE FORMS IN at ANY ministry activity: small groups, church, Bounce U, etc. Because there is no 6-9th grade girls small group this week, you may also turn in forms @ Megan's house on Tuesday evening from 7-8:30 in the blue cooler that will be on the porch. ANYONE MAY TURN IN FORMS AT ANY OF THESE EVENTS - if it's not your small group time, but you want to turn in your form, by all means, drop it off!
Family talk points (week 1)
Sunday night we discussed how we use our time, what we use it for, and who we spend it with.
Read Hebrews 12:1-2 together as a family - talk about the things that you are tangled up in - the things that occupy you.
We discussed what it would be like if we spent the same amount of time with Jesus that we do at school or sports or music lessons. & what it would look like if we practiced our faith just as we practice sports or instruments.
Where is God calling you to persevere this week?
Personally, as a result of Sunday's teaching, I will be refraining from using the phrase, "I'm so busy," or "there's just so much to do." God convicted me about those words this past week - that when I spend my time with HIM first, there will be time for everything else that He has willed for that day.
Be encouraged!
Challenge: Read the book of James
