Many of us Christians think that much of what Jesus did on earth was because He was God. When we think this, we neglect Scripture where it tells us that Jesus, though always God, deliberately chose to limit His divine attributes and power. He did this in order not only to show us who God is but also to demonstrate for us what the normal Christian life should look like.
Jesus used spiritual disciplines to walk with the Father, and develop and learn as we do: “Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man” (Luke 2:52).
Jesus also used spiritual gifts (not His inherent power) to actually carry out His ministry while on earth. And He used the promptings He received from the Father and the Spirit to lead His disciples into moments of revival.

Simon Peter is, after Jesus, the single most important figure in the gospels. He’s mentioned more than all the other disciples combined. By his words and actions, he sheds light on Jesus and represents each of us. The gospels show both Peter’s cowardice and his courage but Jesus saw in him what others did not: a rock on which to build his church. Take a six-week journey into the life, faith, and character of Simon Peter.

Most scholars believe that John’s gospel was the last of the four gospels written. John also wrote three letters that are part of the Biblical canon (1, 2 & 3 John) and Revelation. His style of writing is very poetic and cerebral compared to the other gospel writers. Of the four writers of the gospels, Mathew and John were eye witnesses of Jesus’ life. Mark and Luke were not. Come and dig deep into this important account of the life of Christ.

It seems from the book of Nehemiah that the destiny of the people of Israel was tied to a geographic location. How geography works within a spiritual context requires an individual to seek God's perspective. We see in the book of Nehemiah the “Pentecost pattern” where there is a gap between the present and God's promises for His people. Let’s explore together how one man's prayer, passion and purpose revived a nation.
